We invite you to join us in Mount Shasta to co-create this most personal, powerful, integral and gentle of soul-ceremonies integrating dance, sweat-lodge, Peruvian medicine sacrament, pipe ceremony, community circle and soul-dialogue with solo-questing in nature.
Come to the land in humility and beauty to open, to listen and to receive. The “Quest” is a universal expression of the human longing – and need – to come face to face with the Truth, to align our lives with Purpose, to heal suffering and fear, and to step forward in our lives from a point of initiated clarity and self-trust.
When you pray in this way, you receive the True Voice of soul and spirit that is awakens when you whole-heartedly give thanks, when you deeply own what you most want, and when you ask for help - surrendering to that which is greater than yourself.
VISION is ceremony: a non-ordinary space of revelation, inspiration and fortification, a space where everything supports you to REALY touch Spirit and empower Soul-level transformation for your life.
The expression of your soul is the primary prayer you came here in this life to pray – the perfect purpose embedded within you as a unique expression of god’s intelligence.
Spirit – formless – flows through everything, weaving our oneness, our unity, our sameness and non-separation. Soul is the aspect of spirit that makes each of us unique, individual, able to have and to create beauty, experience and expression. Because the universe is an animate intelligence, a dance of soul and spirit, every aspect of Nature is soul, has soul, is an expression and a reflection of soul.
When you pray in this way, you make yourself naked to the wilderness – both within and without. You open to genuine communion with ALL THAT IS. You open to the total interconnectivity and intersubjectivity of the universe. Inevitably, your “stuff” is revealed to be healed, and you receive true reflections of your most essential gifts and passions. In receiving such Vision, you are empowered to BE FREE, and to return to the world to give the one gift only YOU can give – the unique expression of our soul’s purpose.

VISION is open to the general public. It is also one of three core modules of the Dancing Freedom Facilitator Training Series. Participants must be ready TO BE THEMSELVES. We will spend two days together, laying fertile grounds for consciousness through community ritual, dance, depth work and play. Then, we will spend four days in ceremony with our Medicine Path Family in Sweat Lodge, Medicine Ceremony, and fasting on the mountain ~ going alone for a night to pray and listen in the wilderness. On the Sixth day, you return to the lodge and a Wopila (feast of gratitude). We take the final days to harvest and reflect the wisdom each of our journeys has gifted, gaining tools and perspective to translate our experience into daily life.
Note: this is not a “Native American” Vision Quest in a traditional sense. VISION is the braiding of the Medicine Path Lineage held by George Grey Eagle Bertelstein, the contemporary way of contemporary way of questing that comes through Samantha Sweetwater and Dancing Freedom, and the collected wisdoms of Permaculture, The PeaceKeepers and John Young that Jay Ma walks with in the world. It is a soul-ceremony held in the intelligence of universal pattern, the light of Spirit and over 45 years of collective experience of the facilitation team. We offer this to you in the best way we know how – with humility and gratitude. This said, this offering is influenced by Lakota, Ojibway and Huna lineages, and the work of Bill Plotkin.

WE ARE THE DANCE. WE ARE THE DANCERS. WE ARE THE MOVEMENT. WE ARE THE PRAYER. Come co-create our growing Dancing Freedom Community. Become a Dancing Freedom Facilitator and bring this practice to the world. Gain self-understanding, core resilience skills, clear vision, internalized wisdom and expanded capacity as an Embodied Leader.
In the MASTERY module, we become Djedi’s – masters of subtle energy. We dance the body as the luminous container for our souls and spirits. We embody a holographic map of the universe as consciousness through lived experience. We map energy anatomy and receive essential tools for energy healing and creating sacred space. We activate profound & practical skills for soul empowered manifestation of our dreams, vision and purpose. And, we learn to lucidly navigate our lives, our relationships and the world through the five Fields of Consciousness: Instinct, Emotion, Empathy, Psychic and Intuition.
